Nature and the outdoors have always been an important part of my life and are the primary inspiration for my paintings. As an avid hiker and mountain climber, I find inspiration in the landscapes, wildlife, and quiet moments I encounter along the trail. Whether exploring mountain country or observing the subtle changes in light, color, and atmosphere, I am continually drawn to scenes that evoke a feeling or create a lasting memory.

My formal study of art at Central Michigan University, along with continued learning from accomplished artists, has helped shape my approach to painting. I enjoy the process of translating what I see and experience into something personal on canvas.

For me, painting is about more than reproducing a place or subject. It is about capturing the feeling it inspires—the wonder of discovery, the calm of a quiet moment, or the simple contentment of being outdoors. I hope my paintings invite others to pause, explore, and experience a connection with the natural world that is meaningful to them.
