Painter
After a forty-year career as a federal public servant in the Justice and Interior Departments creating opportunities for marginalized communities, I am delighted to devote my retirement years to creating art. What started as a meditative practice soon became an obsession. I love using strong colors, magical scenes and courageous faces to convey my deep sense that we are all connected, have intrinsic value, and can find much to celebrate together. I hope I inspire those who see my art to reflect upon and appreciate the beauty all around us. I use oil pastels on canvas, and I offer Giclee prints on Hahnemuhle rag as well as canvas prints for most pieces. It is an honor to be part of the Denver Gallery of Art community - I hope to see you at the First Friday Walk or other event soon!
